Day 6

My plan was to get up for an active yoga class but I woke up at 8:30. Class is at 9:00 and there's no way I could get through it without breakfast. I got to the gym this afternoon--45 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill. I read one of the O magazines that have been stacking up. I read the article about Bob Greene's new book--which is funny since I watched the episode on tape last night.
I read recently that it's better to not read while you exercise because it slows you down. It might slow me down, but it really helps get me to the gym to know that I can read one of my magazines while I'm there. It's sort of the carrot that helps get me there.
Only 1/2 hour of exercise tomorrow to get me to 4 hours for the week. I am going to try to not wait until so late in the week to get big chunks of exercise in!
Last night I made up a big salad, then divided it into 5 sealable containers. It was so nice today to just pull one out, measure out 4 oz of turkey and 2 T of salad dressing, and enjoy! :)

Marjorie, I love how you are staying centered and balanced while sticking with your commitments around the 90 Day Challenge.

Taking care of yourself in the morning--and not rushing out to exercise on an empty stomach--when you knew this would not work for you was a good choice.

Again, "in the old days", :) sometimes we did stuff like that and it was a set-up to eat our triggers or overeat--because we threw our blood sugars off too much through our of balance choices.

You go girl! :) You are out of control! :)

Love,
Kathy
