To Post or Not to Post?

Since I decided to do this blog about our 90 Day Challenge I've been debating whether I will post my stats. You know, the dreaded ones--weight, waist, hips, etc. Then I thought "well if you are lighter and can say you don't weigh that anymore, what's the big deal?" But then I thought "What if you aren't lighter?!"
Fear...the great joy-killer and vision-destroyer!

So basically it boils down to being scared that I won't lose weight. This isn't a new fear and I have to think that the fear of not losing weight has probably been a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So what do I do about it? For starters, I'm setting myself up to succeed. (Boy! Does that sound cliche and sales-y!)
1. I'm tracking my food now in my little notebook to get myself in the habit.
2. I'm partnering with my SBF Donna (Partnering--another cliche, marketing term)
3. I have the support of my other SBF Kathy

Logically, if I am eating 1500 calories a day and exercising 4 hours a week how could I NOT lose weight? Unfortunately, fear isn't logical.

I have a saying, "Cliches are cliches because somewhere they have a kernel of truth." So if the shoe fits...HA!

I agree -- fear isn't logical. But this challenge is logical, right? So no fear and only success for us! :)

Once again, I'd like to applaud your courage, Marjorie.

Thankfully, the truth always sets us free and your sharing your #s, fears and process with us inspires us to get more real and honest about where we're at as well.

The good news is that you know that you are so much more than your weight and measurements.

Meanwhile, you're also curious to experience what it feels like to be at a lower weight and with smaller measurements--so you are starting off in such a good place.

And although, during my weight loss periods--I preferred to focus on my part of
_Staying on my NAFP
_Keeping my calories in a 1100-1800 range
_Exercising daily
_Studying the 12 Steps, etc.

-- surrendering the weight release part to God-- I always lost my excess weight.

You know that if you stay at 1500 calories per day and sweat for 4 hours per week you will release weight. No question. :)

So, when those silly, fearful thoughts come up--do the 3 second rule-- that we used during our initial withdrawal-- and say a prayer, or just speak the truth to them.

"I am now releasing weight, easily and effortlessly. Thank You, God!And so it is!"

Love you,
Kathy
