Almost 1/3 of the Way!

It's hard to believe we're almost a third of the way there! I'm still not feeling as though I'm really losing much and am considering reducing to 1200 calories a day. I haven't decided yet but am considering it. I was chatting with my mom Thursday about weight loss efforts and she has started counting calories too. (I think she might have been inspired a bit by me doing it when I was there) She does 1200 calories to lose weight. My mom is in her 60's and does not do the active exercising that I do--she walks whereas I am doing the eliptical machine--and I don't think she does any type of weight training--not that I do a whole lot but I do yoga regularly--so 1200 might be too little for me, but I'm open to whatever divine inspiration I get around that.

Speaking of strength training, yoga was so good today. Danielle showed us how to make the downward facing dog > plank pose > cobra pose transitions more effective and my arms are feeling it! That's a good thing though because it's only when we challenge our mind/body/spirit that we grow in that practice. Taking on challenges and hard work are like the sand paper that mold us.

Marjorie, :), I was just thinking the same thing.

Personally, I believe you are going to release the weight either way--but if you want to see this happening more quickly--going to 1200 may do the trick.

My mom just turned 67 and she is trying to lose some more weight for my brother's wedding and she is finding that for her to do this she needs to stay at 1,000 and is walking at least 30 minutes every day.

And she was reminding me yesterday--at her birthday party--that when she decided to start losing weight a couple of years ago--it took her two months before she even lost one pound. And she was restricting her calorie intake and walking every day--30 minutes in the morning and 30 at night--and she was just about to give up--and her doctor told her to hang in there and sure enough the weight loss began and she has lost and kept off 50 pounds, I think, now.

Wow! I don't know if I could do that for two months without one pound coming off--but I am so glad she did and it is an example of how it works for us sometimes.

Anyway, congrats on being almost 1/3 of the way there, and I know your Inner Guidance will guide you around the calories--and that you will be able to stick with it for the rest of the 90 Day Challenge, if so inspired.

Thank you for your commitment and sharing your process with us. You are an inspiration, Marjorie, and I know deeply that your experience will help so many! :)

With Love,
Kathy
