I set my alarm and got up at 5:30 this morning, got dressed, grabbed a cup of coffee and headed to the gym for a "charmed morning." I noticed yesterday that the TV show Charmed comes on TNT at 6am. I've never been hooked on it before but think it might add extra incentive to get me to the gym. It appears as though they are starting back from the first episodes so I can learn the storyline as I go. So from now on, my mornings at the gym will be "charmed mornings."
When I got back home I peeled off my sweaty clothes and got on the scale. The scale reads that I'm back up 3.5 pounds. I thought "What the *bleep* is going on?!" I quickly calmed down and figured out that after flying and not eating my normal food items my body is probably holding some water and other "stuff." There's no logical way I could have gained 3.5 pounds of fat over the weekend. I would have had to go on a weekend long binge--which I obviously have not! I'm going to drink plenty of water today and continue to eat my normal stuff and then check back in a few days. I feel like this was a test of the emergency broadcast system "This is a test. This is only a test. If you had actually gained weight, you would have done something to cause it" :)

I'm sorry, Marjorie. My first reaction is, "Shoot man!" but with all we are learning about the law of attraction--I know I need to move out of that right away and trust the process for you and love and appreciate all that is happening now to draw forth what is truly wanted--right?
Yes, now that you are back home--it will be easier to keep it really simple with your food. And you are doing so wonderfully, Marjorie--getting up early to exercise and staying with your commitment around your NAFP--I know this little kink in the road will work its way out.
A couple of thoughts:
1) You will use this experience to help others who have it as well.
2) With our monthly cycles--and water retention--and building of muscles--and things I don't even understand--our weight does it's own thing at times--but I still hold the belief BIG TIME that if you stay with 1500 cals/day and 4 hours of serious sweating per week--your weight must come down over the long haul.
3) On Ellen yesterday, her trainer, Bob, said something about stress and how when we feel stressed our body releases cortisol and cortisol loves to hold onto fat...so we need to keep ourselves de-stressed throughout the day--as much as we can.
Even though you were on vacation--there were probably stresses with traveling, trying to get foods on your NAFP, and maybe even some stressful feelings around wanting to connect with your family in ways that felt good to you--and maybe this did play a role as well. Who knows? But now, you can eat your simple foods, snuggle your honey bunnies, do your yoga and exercise at the gym, and even meditate--as inspired--and stay at a more serene place.
Just keep doing what you are doing, Marjorie, and holding your vision--knowing that it is absolutely possible and that you and your Higher Power are making i happen NOW! :)
I love you and am so impressed by your commitment and sharing.
Have a great day!
Kathy
